IMPORTANT DATES AND DEADLINES

WOrker's Compensation Registration: 
   DEADLINE:  AUGUST 13, 2008

If you participated in paid or unpaid rescue, recovery and clean up efforts in Lower Manhattan during the year after 9/11/01, you may be eligible for medical and wage replacement benefits through the new York State Workers Compensation Board.


America red Cross 9/11 Mental Health and Substance Abuse Program:
  
DECEMBER 31, 2007 - Last Date of Covered Services
   MARCH 31, 2008 - Last Day to File Claims

The mental health and substance abuse program offers a wide variety of services
     1.  Outpatient mental health counseling.
     2.  Psychological evaluation and testing:  For children 1` years of age and younger.
     3.  Financial assistance with inpatient hospitalization and/or substance abuse treatment.
     4.  Partial hospitalization services.
     5.  Intensive outpatient services.

RESOURCES

New York State Crime Victims Board:

If you have exhausted all other mental health benefits and have applied to New York State Crime Victims, then you are eligible to receive reimbursement for out of pocket expenses for counseling.  No maximum.  The Board is the Payer of Last Resort.

VOICES of September 11th:

VOICES of September 11th are a non-profit organization providing advocacy and services to those impacted by the events of September 11, 2001 and other terrorist attacks.  Ongoing teleconference support groups available.

Families of September 11:

The mission of this program is to raise awareness about the effects of terrorism and public trauma.

Children of September 11:

This program is a spin-off of Families of September 11 and provides resources information and advocacy to parents, caregivers and other professionals supporting children.

Tuesday's Children:

This program is designed to benefit children who lost a parent/parents or siblings on 9/11.  Services include mentoring, education and career guidance, leadership training and life management programs.

WTC United Family Support:

This program provides emotional support to individuals affected by the events of 9/11.  Their goal is to protect the legacy and memorialize the victims.
